HeatPumpAtlas is an independent guide to mini-splits and heat pumps. We build free tools — a state rebate finder, a proper sizing calculator, and a model comparison — to help homeowners make sense of a confusing, fast-changing market.

We are independent. We don't sell or install systems, and manufacturers can't pay to change our data or rankings.

How we compile our data

Specifications come from manufacturers' published materials and AHRI-retailer spec sheets and are cited on each page. Rebate and incentive information is compiled from federal, state-energy-office, utility and ENERGY STAR/DSIRE sources, cited, dated, and clearly marked as general information — not tax advice. Where a figure can't be verified, we show "Not published" rather than guess; where a figure is nominal or line-level, we say so. Programs and specs change constantly; we update on a rolling basis.
